Relentless bossing aside, Katelyn loves her baby Nicholas. I will never forget catching Katelyn, barely 2 and a half, clutching her baby brother by his diaper and keeping him from plummeting down a flight of stairs. After I started breathing again, I was proud of her instincts. Just last week when they were in the tub together Nicholas slipped backwards and was just about to go under when Ms. Kate-the-Great reached out, scooped him up and kept his little terrified face above the water. I love her.
In case you were wondering I was supervising; it just happened in slow-motion and she acted quicker than I did. Cat-like reflexes, she has!
