A few months ago, out of sheer boredom, I came to an awesome conclusion: if I entered enough contests, I was bound to win one. And I was actually right! I won tickets to the Symphony 30 picnic held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Lately the weather here has been divine and yesterday was no exception. With the late afternoon sun shining, we listened to the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, ate delicious BBQ (for the second time that day; we're taking this Southern thing seriously) and drank wine. It was a delight!
