And then decorated them with icing to make them look like clocks.
Then we gobbled them up with some sherbet + 7UP punch.
At 7:45 we pretended it was midnight. We aren't crazy, y'all.
We blew our trumpets and popped party poppers.
And then we wore silly hats. And passed out well before the new year rang in.
When we woke up, we resolved to throw a party next year where we stay up all the way til midnight.

Betsy- you forgot the part where Patrick woke up at 12:03 to the sound of "Fat Guy in a Little Coat" because my hubby couldn't ring in the New Year without a phone call to one of his bff's. ;o) Sorry about that! Looks like you all had a nice time. Happy New Year!
we *all* stayed up till midnite (even the boys!) at the josts', hats, poppers, champagne and all. the kids had a blast, we were saying next yr it'd be great if you guys were there and the 3 new babies too :-) happy new year!
