Well folks, we had ourselves a bit of a snowstorm out here in the big apple. The sky started spitting flakes around 3pm yesterday and gradually turned into full-on winter wonderland after dark. Patrick and Katelyn braved the cold, dark streets for a glimpse of "Merry Christmas Trees!" last night.
Afterward we settled in with cookies and games and waited impatiently for the real snow to accumulate. We knew it wouldn't last, but fell asleep excited to peer out the window in the morning to see what nature had brought us. At 5 am we woke up to something we'd never heard before in our apartment. Silence. Absolute, utter lack of sound. Not a car, dog or pack of drunkards to be heard. I had forgotten the peace that freshly fallen snow delivers.
With church cancelled, we had ourselves a true snow day. I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures of Mr. Nicholas.

I finally just got caught up with your blog! Can you believe how fast time goes! I can't believe Nicholas is already smiling and being so active! CRAZY!!! Evalynn is already 5 months old....what the heck!!
Anyways looks like you guys are doing great! We will be back in WI from the 29th til the 5th. We will be in Chicago from the 31st til the 3rd though, but if you are going to be there, let me know. Then we move the 7th!!! CRAZY!!!
